Hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is a gentle cleansing ingredient also naturally produced by the body’s white blood cells as part of its defense system.

Playdate uses a stabilized form at 0.02%—combined with water and salt—to create an alcohol-free, fragrance-free and pH-balanced mist made with sensitive skin in mind.

Is Playdate a hand sanitizer?

No. Playdate is an alcohol-free hand + skin cleanser. It is not marketed as a sanitizer or disinfectant and does not replace thorough handwashing when soap and water are available.

What is hypochlorous acid?

Hypochlorous acid, or HOCl, is a weak acid that is also produced by immune cells as part of the body’s natural response. Playdate uses a stabilized topical form at a concentration of 0.02%, or 200 ppm.

What are the ingredients?

Water, salt and hypochlorous acid. That’s all.

Is Playdate made for sensitive skin?

Playdate is fragrance-free, alcohol-free, pH-balanced, dermatologist tested and formulated with sensitive skin in mind. As with any skincare product, discontinue use if irritation occurs and follow all directions on the bottle.

Where can I use it?

Playdate is intended for external use on hands and skin. Follow the final directions printed on the product label.

Does this replace soap and water?

No. Soap and water remain the best choice for thorough handwashing and for visibly dirty, sticky or greasy hands. Playdate is designed for convenient, everyday cleansing when a sink isn’t nearby.

What happens after I join?

We’ll send you a confirmation email. When Playdate is ready to launch, Founding 100 members will receive early access and instructions for claiming the $9.99 offer.

When will my card be charged?

It won’t be. Joining the Founding 100 only requires an email address. Payment is collected only if you decide to purchase when the product launches.
